Sporting Beach's story

A story that began 60 years ago!

Built for the 1960 Rome Olympics, it completed the terminal of Via Cristoforo Colombo, which on the other side of the Piazzale had been manned for a few years by the Kursaal with its iconic trampoline, belonging to the same company. On the Promenade to complete a sort of magic triangle, which seemed to exert an extraordinary attraction, just opposite is the Enalc Hotel.

Luigi Muzzarelli's experience and story
Sporting Beach started its activity in 1959 and since the beginning, Sporting Beach has been synonymous with quality. It was in those legendary early 1960s that the bathing establishment made a name for itself and achieved notoriety, initially in Rome, but also internationally, thanks to the magical moment that Rome was experiencing. Among the regular guests were our great actors, directors and singers as well as the most famous international stars, politicians and industrial leaders. But everything changes, including Rome and Sporting Beach.

At the beginning of the 1980s, the property was handed over to the Muzzarelli family who, on the strength of a tradition consolidated over years of activity on the coast and always at the highest level, updated the offer by interpreting the changing ways of enjoying the sea and leisure time, succeeding in the difficult task of giving continuity to the establishment's tradition. And so, season after season, Sporting Beach's years have accompanied the transformation and changes in Rome, in its clientele and in the families who, from generation to generation, have met, grown up and found themselves in an environment that has managed, despite the necessary evolution, to maintain a common thread given by a vision of change without ever departing from the quality of its offer.
Thanks to a fresh boost and passion, the company continued to update its facilities until the early 1990s, when a more radical renovation project was launched, starting with the transformation of the swimming pool and involving the entire complex, thereby confirming the offer of quality accommodation and facilities with the guarantee of Luigi Muzzarelli's experience and history.
